Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Each day brings a variety of cleaning tasks, from kitchens and ablutions to refuse removal and maintaining common areas. You’ll prepare venues for functions and meetings by setting up, making beds and washing crockery.
Cleaning includes ongoing maintenance, as well as deep cleans during vacation and deregistration periods, servicing rooms and communal facilities.
Reporting safety hazards and maintenance concerns is a key function, ensuring the residence remains safe and operational at all times.
You’ll be involved in supporting sustainability initiatives—power, water, and waste management are integral to this role.
Abiding by strict health and safety procedures is important. You may also act as a Fire Marshal and must wear appropriate PPE.
